February 20, 2011
A great start for the day; Sam and I had our coffee together, long distance. He calls every Sunday morning and usually talk for at least two hours.
Not much new in the news, just more of the same from the past week. Crocheted a while but still didn’t get going on my jar painting. Maybe today.
Took a long nap in the afternoon and Danny called to let me know that Cousin Tootie had passed away. Glad I finally got down to see her last week. Called Pattie and she will call Jim and Shirley. Polly and Bonnie were not close and live so far away but Shirley will probably call them.
Watched TV until midnight, found the Beverly Hillbillies and Ozzie and Harriet on a channel I don’t always get. It was in black and white. Sometimes the old black and white are soothing.
The predicted thunderstorms didn’t happen but it did rain and is still raining today. It was very warm for February in Illinois. The weather report said it got up to 62, but it was windy and I didn’t begin the yard clean up. I’ll be doing that next week unless it snows again.
