February 27 & 28, 2011

Sunday is never a bad day for me. Sam and I have coffee together even though he is 1000 miles away. Thank you Sam. The day was a "rest up day, didn't do much of anything and slept a lot.

Sunday began as somewhat foggy and warm and by late afternoon temperature dropped and thunder and lightning storms followed. Cooler today but bearable. Now it's cooling off again. But expecting 50 degree weather tomorrow. Cathy and Dean are driving back from their two weeks in Florida today. Hope they made it ok, they will be driving back through tornado territory as Oklahoma, Arkansas and Kentucky are all under the watch with several touching down.

The news is still not good in the middle east, especially in Libya, as their leader continues to say his citizens love him as he sends in his soldiers and mercinaries to try and beat down their revolt. It is being reported that the citizens are are leaving the country any way they can, many are walking across the border to Egypt where the revolt there has put their leader out of control. The US along with the UN is becoming more involved in Libya, I am seriously hoping the we do not send troops over there as France has offered up troops to quell the violence.

Demonstrations in Wisconsin against the governors plan to make Wisconsin a "right to work state" have heightened concern from non-union ranks. The governor stated today that without the votes from the Democratic Congressmen he will have to start laying off employees to meet the financal burden of the state. The demonstrators have filled the state capitol and refuse to leave even for cleaning. Wonder if they will clean the place up after it's over as the demonstrators in Egypt are doing. Some news reporters are being pushed and shoved in Wisconsin and one was "punched" two times.

But today I have pretty much stayed out of the fray and went shopping at DMH Thrift store. I'm really needing some larger clothes and found one sweater, one jacket, one shirt and two turtle necks. They were all in good condition, maybe even never worn and the total price was $5.13. They are trying to get rid of all the winter stuff and are having 75% off of nearly everything in the store. DMH operates to support various activities for Decatur Memorial Hospital. Glad I went today.

Let us see what tomorrow brings:)
