February 21
Never did get started painting my jelly jars, they are still on the table, but worked several hours integrating the folders of my writing into one, getting ready to burn a CD of it. It was rainy today and cold although the temperature didn’t seem that cold.
Watched a lot of TV…. Things have heated up significantly in Libya and Gadhafi isn’t budging. People are being shot in large numbers there. Rahm Emanuel is running for Mayor of Chicago. The election is today. He has a long lead according to the polls, but has a lot of competition. There are several other candidates in the race. He must get 50% of the votes plus 1 to avoid a run off in April. I don’t think there is any doubt that he will win, either way. I’m interested in what is happening there. I think he would be a good and long term mayor, but I believe we will see him on the presidential ballot in the future. Results will be televised tonight.
Watched a cooking show with a chef from the Bayou….don’t know how to spell the words, but was surprised to hear the names of what we would call stew and thickening. French I suppose.
Best Wishes for your day to any readers.
